Came up quick on a roaring course to the north. It looked to doing about 45-50 knots. Hard to outrun that rig.
Good thing my rum-runner days are over....captain4tuna - 4-4-2011 at 10:04 AM

You know, this goes for there air craft, choppers every thing, they all go so fast that how in the hell can they see what they are suppose to when on
patrol? All they do is show off. Cartel are probably waving at them laphing there ass's off as they go by.Lauriboats - 4-4-2011 at 12:55 PM
I wouldn't want to be the one dragging the gas cans out to that thing.Cypress - 4-4-2011 at 01:52 PM

I was out on the bay in San Diego on Friday, and two of our navy ones, very similar to the one in the photo came ROARING past our sailboat.
They were badass-looking things.Russ - 4-4-2011 at 02:29 PM

I saw that one, or one very similar, roaring north as I was anchored on El Bajo (off La Paz) a couple years ago. It wasn't checking fishing licenses.Sallysouth - 4-4-2011 at 11:50 PM

They have checked licenses in the past out here, probably looking for other things using a license excuse. They always fly by me.
Usually it seems that 2 planes fly by and scout the area and then the boats come behind and probably check out whatever the planes spotted.Vince - 4-5-2011 at 01:29 PM
Remember in the '70's the Mex navy had surplus PT boats and patrolled Conception Bay for awhile in those. You could hear them coming way before you
could see them. When they stopped patrolling the netters came back and cleaned out the bay.tripledigitken - 4-5-2011 at 01:44 PM
