Desert Hot Springs to Guerrero Negro via Google Earth

Now this is bizarre. Until recently, I couldn't get Google Earth to provide directions south of the border. That wasn't a problem; just that the GE folks hadn't gotten down here yet to do their roadway data input.

But then the guys at GE served this up and seem to think there's a "road" for regular vehicles/travel south of Huerfanito past Gonzaga Bay and Coco's Corner connecting to Mex 1. :O Obviously input by a non-Nomad. :P

What gets weird, tho, is if you substitute (Palm Springs for Desert Hot Springs, just a few miles apart), the route suddenly flips over to the Pacific side. :?: Try it for yourself.

Like me, I see you have some extra time on your hands! Too bad we can't get paid for doing all of this 'Baja research'!;)

That's the way I would go, but maybe not it my Nisson Acura.

I just did a routing from San Felipe to New Mexico and it's was my route of choice. Have to play a bit more with it.

Now from GN on to Bahia Asuncion

Now from GN on to Bahia Asuncion. Anyone need a lift via Orange County? Yes, I already know it's a round-about way. Sheesh.
