Sukiyaki, A Japanese Restaurant in Rosarito

Gypsy Jan - 4-8-2011 at 04:59 PM

After our inmigrado ceremony, we walked across the street to Sukiyaki, a restaurant that has been open in a strip mall next to the Palacio Municipal for the last three or four years.

It is a small space with a very contemporary, clean design that has seats for maybe twenty people. Two flat screen TVs were playing a Sarah Brightman DVD video while we were there.

The menu offers combination meals at about $5.50 up to $19.00 US (for the 13 piece sushi comination), and there are sashimi plates, specialty rolls, hand rolls, teriyaki dishes, tempura dishes and hot pots.

If you have a special request, they will make a menu for you.

Our guests were delighted with the food, the service and the attention to detail (they offered trainer holders for the chopsticks and the the tea was served in classic Japanese iron pots)

You take the exit to the Mega Comercial in Rosarito. The one with the big Pelican sign.

When you get off the pay road and turn towards that, the Palacio Municipal is on your right and just in front of that is a BIG sign painted on a two-story building that says "SUKIYAKI".

You turn right (South) towards the city hall and the restaurant is across the street.
