Baja Sur Party

Tucker - 8-27-2004 at 05:16 PM

The long awaited meeting between Skeet and myself happened over breakfast this morning. By the way I bought, he mumbled something about leaving his wallet in his other pants. We discussed the proposed party and came up with the following framework;

1. Nov.6 was chosen as the date, after election and before Thanksgiving .

2. To be held at Tucker's house, probably outside, if more than about 25 attendees.

3. Birria and fish tacos( ? ), potluck if you can bring something.

4. No benefactors, It's my impression that the "Cactus Group" did an outstanding job. Our meeting is about people meeting people.

5. No invitation necessary, do u2u me with the number of people in your party or other relevant information.

6. Cost will be minimal.

Germanicus - 8-28-2004 at 08:36 AM

November-6 is still a long time ahead, and I don't kmow if or not we are still down there, but we are trying to partissipate.
Also because I was talking earlier about spending a German ceg.
>> And JR placed these hundreds of laugh-icons next to his question: "Importing beer to Mexico?"

Well, if a German ceg is not a good idea, then I would like to spend plenty of Mexican sixers.
And what about one or two Texan briskets?
I can smok'em here and somebody needs to freeze them, as we are intending to leave here by Mid-September.
Please advise.
Germanicus

Now now Germanicus

jrbaja - 8-28-2004 at 08:41 AM

I think a keg of German beer would be cool. It's just the thought of importing beer to Mexico.
Now Texas Briskets on the other hand are a REALLY hard thing to come by down here.
I have a freezer in the house as well as one in the van, for transporting ice cream, fish, and Texas Briskets!!

Quite generous of you Germanicus!

Tucker - 8-28-2004 at 09:00 AM

Perhaps you can co-ordinate with JR for the freezing and transport of the meat?

Markitos - 8-29-2004 at 01:04 PM

Thanks Tucker looking forward to it!

Natalie Ann - 8-29-2004 at 01:52 PM

You know you can count me in, Tucker... and Steve, too. I'll be there a bit early and can lend a hand getting ready. Steve will fly in for the weekend, for old time's sake.

It was so much fun "last year" to meet some of the Nomads and also all the others in attendance. Food was so wonderful that I'm salivating just thinking of it. (Dr. Pavlov would have loved me... Easily trainable, haha!) I'm really looking forward to seeing those friends again, as well as meeting many other of my favorite posters here. Cy'all at Tucker's. :bounce::spingrin:

Jesse!

Skeet/Loreto - 8-30-2004 at 12:19 PM

Jesse, Please send a moneygram in the amount of $300,000.00 USD, I have to pay Capitol Gains so that all those PHDers" can get some Grant Money to study the effects of Three Large Rats who have been Attacking my Poor Chickens.
It maybe that they will determine that the "Rats" are an endangered Species, whereby I will have to Kill my chickens!!

The Party at Tuckers will be a Happening that will be remembered in the lives of all that attend.
Bring your Bodies and your Hearts.

Skeet/Loreto

jrbaja - 8-30-2004 at 12:23 PM

Tucker and I made a Deal, I will bring Possum,Armadillo,Racoon, and some nice Juicy RattleSnake. to go along with the Sow Belly and Beans.
Skeet

Not to mention the chocolate covered critters!

Tucker - 8-30-2004 at 12:55 PM

Sounds more like a dang

jrbaja - 8-30-2004 at 02:27 PM

traditional fiester by the minute:light:
What a kick !!
Although last years party was lotsa fun, and Antonios event was very enlightening and way fun to boot, I think that because of the varied personalities and actual Baja stories from we gringos that will be (rounded up) fer this here
shindig/fiesta/texmex food binge, as Skeet says, it will be unforgettable !
And quite possibly, German beer to top it all off:lol::lol::lol:
