Just a bit? Something other than a rock bumps my board from underneath and I develop the ability to hydroplane.

:o

Help me ---

Wow! Fantastic encounter. I would of been pretty nervous and may have found the hydroplane function on my board too. Waves good up there last week? Down here there was lots of penalty laps.

Startled you a bit? I'd have been thinking "SHARK!!" and filled that wetsuit with stuff that would have made me one very unappetizing burrito.

it's a secret Blanca or he would have said where.

Nice report Don Jorge! Looks like a bull. This is mating time and they get aggressive protecting their harems.

Skipjack Joe - 4-11-2011 at 09:59 PM

Perhaps he was ADDING to his harem.

Seriously, though, I saw white foam coming from the nostrils of those elephant seals at San Simeon. There was nobody knowledgable around to ask about it. I decided it was normal but now am no longer sure. There was no red tide but there can be algal blooms without coloration.
