Full moons in Baja are so..so ...inspiring! They make you think about your place in nature..in the universe..and what
kind of future you wish for mankind. In short..it's pretty damn important stuff!
ODE TO THE FULL MOON
“When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship of the Creator”
Mahatma Gandhi
“Ignorance is the night of the mind, a night without moon or star”
Confucius
“See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...we need silence to be able
to touch souls.”
Mother Teresa of Calcutta
"As usual I finish the day before the sea, sumptuous this evening beneath the moon, which writes Arab symbols with phosphorescent streaks on the slow
swells. There is no end to the sky and the waters. How well they accompany sadness!”
Albert Camus
“Let us be Diana's foresters, gentlemen of the shade, minions of the moon.”
William Shakespeare
“We make guilty of our disasters the sun, the moon, and the stars: as if we were villains by necessity; fools by heavenly compulsion.”
William Shakespeare
"When you're finally up on the moon, looking back at the earth, all these differences and nationalistic traits are pretty well going to blend and
you're going to get a concept that maybe this is really one world and why the hell can't we learn to live together like decent people?”
Astronaut Frank Borman
"The ocean, whose tides respond, like women's menses, to the pull of the moon, the ocean which corresponds to the amniotic fluid in which human life
begins, the ocean on whose surface vessels (personified as female) can ride but in whose depth sailors meet their death and monsters conceal
themselves... it is unstable and threatening as the earth is not; it spawns new life daily, yet swallows up lives; it is changeable like the moon,
unregulated, yet indestructible and eternal.”
Adrienne Rich

...and me too, Roger, as do your marvelous photos. Thank you!
Last night, while out walking along the river, I thought for sure the moon would steal my breath. Alas, my choice for the way I leave Planet Earth was
not to be, this night.

Great shots as usual Roger.
Here is an awesome u-tube video that puts our standing in the universe in perspective for the next time you are star gazing. The power-point version
of the same I posted earlier was too much hassle to download

Great stuff, Roger. Lot of good ones there but the first and the last were my favorites, as was your intention, I believe.
