Bajafam,
Your then and now beach pictures show clearly how all that speculation about shell beach and global warming was sheer nonsense.
Thank you for the post. |
the typical cycle is beaches accumulate sediment in summer (small wave action), lose sediment in winter (large wave action), but each beach can vary.
the dynamic nature of beaches and estuaries is poorly (not) understood by a certain bloviating shell island booster, and his opinions of global
warming on basis of shell island observations are utter nonsense. |
Yup, instead of watching Algore movies, I actually GO to the beach... the same beach for over 30 years... and it is still there... the salt flats that
are flooded by only the highest tides... are STILL only flooded by the highest tides... Concrete pads (that don't rise and fall) are still the same
elevation above sea level... and this is throughout Baja (and the world)... talking about measurable change greater than the length of a cigarette.
I know it serves your masters to spread fear, create laws, raise taxes, restrict freedom... on the lie of man made climate change. I use common sense
and personal observation and am not trying to scare anyone or take their rights away.
Beach erosion happens all the time... and it eats up property or it builds up sand... but the level of the ocean is unchanged... and in a place that
has a 20 foot daily rise and fall in sea level... the length of a cigarette is unchanged! |
