grrrr, MORE PUPPIES in Mulege

willyAirstream - 4-20-2011 at 01:13 PM

Someone left 3 puppies with Terry, near the oasis. 2 are left and available for adoption. Terry is leaving for NOB soon, so please help her out by taking a pup! Brown one is male and the black one is a female, about 6-8 weeks old. U2U me for contact info or stop by Cuesta Real and I will take you there.

Willie- I know it is frustrating but your efforts are appreciated!! In the late 90's my daughter was a divisional manager for Iams-Eukanuba and covered Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. In New Mexico is was a common occurance for her to find an abandoned litter of puppies on the side of the road. Luckily she had access to various animal humane societies that would help find them homes. Thanks for your efforts. Ron

Cypress - 4-20-2011 at 03:05 PM

Do 'em. What's the point? We've got way too many mangy mutts as it is. No sense in being silly about it. Sack 'em up and drop 'em in the water.

good troll, cypress! that should get the dog lovers riled up!

Cypress - 4-20-2011 at 03:51 PM

mtgoat666, Being honest puts you in the "troll" catagory? You're the troll patrol guy?

willyAirstream - 4-20-2011 at 04:36 PM

Thanks Ron, there's a lot of good people here, who will help.

Betsy, (cypress) your solution surprises me as you are a" healing Certified Master Practitioner". Or do you just "Sack 'em up and drop 'em in the water."?

Cypress - 4-20-2011 at 04:46 PM

willyAirstream,:o Betsy? That's my wife's thing. She's more touchy-feely than me. "Sack em up...." Sometimes I just shoot 'em between the running lights. That'll cure most anything.;D

Sweetwater - 4-20-2011 at 06:18 PM

You can really tell who hasn't seen the sun in awhile.......somebody needs therapy.........

surfdoc - 4-20-2011 at 08:23 PM

Cypress you type very well........... from Northern Idaho

I don't know you............and frankly... don't want to. Enjoy your keyboard sir.

Yes this hit me the wrong way............. sorry for allowing the troll to get a hookup..........

absinvestor - 4-20-2011 at 08:45 PM

I was once told by a wise old man that you can tell a lot about a person's character by watching how he or she treats waitresses and animals. I have found that evaluation technique to be 100% accurate. Ron

Well stated. I have observed the same thing.

goldhuntress - 4-20-2011 at 09:06 PM

I posted it on my Facebook. I can't understand why anyone would want to put negative energy on a post that is only trying to do good for some unlucky pups. "Sack 'em up and drop 'em in the water", really??? WTF??? Loser.

capt. mike - 4-21-2011 at 05:57 AM

there are humane ways to deal with surplus animals. painless and non trauma, a go to sleep system.

drowning pets is disgusting, cruel and heartless. a terrible way to die for ANY mammal.

Mr. Cypress needs about an hour on a CIA special ops water board.
maybe he'll get a clue, or perhaps better yet....drown.:P

Cypress - 4-21-2011 at 06:19 AM

OK! Have any of you ever watched the "Animal Hoarders" program? Do away with 'em in a "humane way". Your choice. By the way, I have a friend who drowned once, said it was very peaceful drifting down and watching the bubbles floating up. Just saying...

Cypress - 4-21-2011 at 06:51 AM

Good grief! All I did was suggest killing unwanted puppies in a humane fashion. Sociopath?:D It may come as a surprise to some of you, but folks kill animals on a regular basis so that you can enjoy your tacos. Are they sociopaths? Get real.

Five Stars to willyAirstream

mcfez - 4-21-2011 at 07:15 AM

Again...you go out of your way to save defenseless animals. I am sure that those other puppies from last year are enjoying life, thanks to you.

baitcast - 4-21-2011 at 07:41 AM

Cypress you have always been a borderline case but I fear you have finally gone over the edge this time:rolleyes:.
Rob

Oh Cypress....you opened Pandora's Box, didn't ya?

Pompano - 4-21-2011 at 07:44 AM

Uff Da! Now you'll pay the piper, my friend. I know you..and also know you do not have a bad heart.

"Silence of the Puppies"

How to control puppy overpopulation.

When out of burlap sacks for the bridge...I jes stomps em...

...or get my pack of killer porpoise to pull em down into depths....

..AND..as 'The Final Solution'..I have these options:

1. Euthanizing them with garlic/onion breath.
2. Allow them to kiss themselves to death.
3. Solitary confinement until the bitter end.
4. Repetitive retrieving until they collapse.

ALL good solutions to the problem. BUENE SUERTE!

you 'slay' me.

choyero - 4-21-2011 at 08:15 AM

Several years ago on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Northern Idaho during a Northern Pike derby, they caught the defending champ using kittens as bait. It seems big Pike really like drowning kittens.

Was that you Cypress?

wessongroup - 4-21-2011 at 09:09 AM

They make me smile... sorry.. good luck on a tough problem... over population of dogs in Mexico... or just about any place... very sad to see them put down on a regular basis... most folks that work in animal shelters can't take it for long..

A slaughter house has much the same effect on my "head" too... even rendering plants.... LA Grease ... which shut down in 2000... had a purpose but, its internal workings were difficult even for me.... to accept as normal for our needs in life..

Large portions of the extracts were and/are used in the manufacture of beauty products for women... unless it has all changed, been a few years away from the trade "production of food and fiber"... like the crops... animal production and the use of the "product" was another story... how we deal with the production of animals for food and other uses ... just was.. for me.....

But, it is part of the life which live daily... suppling food to all, and death... for some in the process...

Keep the dogs.. ya can find a way... every one needs to lose a few pounds anyway... and water should be no problem..

caboguy - 4-21-2011 at 11:57 AM

Can we leave North Idaho out of this? I think the last N-zi left a while back.
But as a dog lover myself, I hope someone will take em in. Folks who abandon animals are gutless in my book. There are alternatives...

Cypress - 4-21-2011 at 12:08 PM

caboguy, Agree! I'm originally from Mississippi! That ought to get the insults really flowing. But, what the heck, lot's of folks only "know" what they've been told.

Cypress you are an idiot

yellowkri , surdoc, and all. All I did was express an honest opinion about doing away with unwanted dogs. It happens every day, for crying out loud. Are all the people that do the deed idiots? Come on. Quit your blubbering and face the facts.:o

goldhuntress - 4-21-2011 at 01:25 PM

Face what facts??? The FACT is this post was written by a very caring individual trying to find a couple cute pups loving homes, that was it. His just asking if anyone wants one of these pups. I didn't read anything about him asking for suggestions on killing them, humanely or not. Not a discussion on the dog population problem. Nope. Just about finding these pups homes."Blubbering"? That's a good one. So now if someone doesn't agree with you and tells you so they're "blubbering"? That's such crap.

Cypress - 4-21-2011 at 01:29 PM

Yep. Blubbering is the descriptive word in this case. Fact! Look around and watch your step, you might step in some crap. I did!

goldhuntress - 4-21-2011 at 01:50 PM

Ha, funny. Yes you did!!! It's a mine field out there, or a least here on BN:lol::lol:

Did you see where a group in China stopped a large truck filled with dogs for the restaurant? Paid the driver $16,000 to save them. Oh, wait is it 1921 or 2011?
Cypress I guess if you have a broken leg, you'd agree to be put down like a horse?
Please let us know where you live so we can move very far away! Damn those handicapped parking spots! Why can't they be like the rest of us! We have to build ramps, bathrooms with access...Why do we have to be bothered with such acts - Kindness, oh give it a rest! Can you just imagine living near Cypress? Wow, I bet she has a pesticide c-cktail to start her morning.

is cypress chinese? perhaps his original comment reflects his preferance to eat dogs more than pet dogs.

My Dos Centavos:

toneart - 4-22-2011 at 09:09 AM

This happens many times during the year along the river in Mulege because the locals didn't avail themselves of the services of the clinic. Many don't believe in neutering or spaying their animals and then, when they have puppies they get rid of them the fastest way possible...Dump them on the Gringos.:fire:

Absolutely none of our Gringo population would even think of drowning them. That is why it is so-o-o-o difficult! That is why we assume the dreadful task of trying to place them with responsible homes. If you a normal human being you don't kill them. We simply can't :!:

Willy Airstream is a compassionate human being! He goes the extra step to help our helpless animal friends.

Cypress - 4-22-2011 at 09:27 AM

absinvestor, Thanks for your service to the country. Piling on isn't an admirable trait. And your opinion?

absinvestor - 4-22-2011 at 06:10 PM

To Cypress- I agree. As a child I watched my uncle abuse dogs and cats. Always stuck with me. However, I retract my comment about you. I don't know you but I disagree with your opinion.

Hat's off to you Willy - the wheel goes round ..

Casa-rhea - 4-22-2011 at 06:30 PM

Yes ,this happens all the time in Baja, abandon puppies, and yes there are many gringo's that rescue them.Bless them..The population has gone down tremendously,by people like Willie Airstream..I volunteer at the Vet clinic in Mulege, and ,I thank him for helping.....

Cypress - 4-22-2011 at 07:31 PM

I'm totally against the abuse of anything.

The fact is it seems to be something you would enjoy doing. Which most people would find disturbing.

willyAirstream - 4-25-2011 at 11:16 AM

BUMP for the puppies

not cypress

absinvestor - 4-25-2011 at 11:44 AM

WillieAirstream- We have a couple of things to clean up in Seattle and Denver but will be relocating to the Mulege area in a few months. We have two dogs one of which is not that great around small dogs or we would agree to help "foster care" them. We are more than willing to assist with food costs and to contribute to any vet charges etc. Thanks for your efforts. Ron and Patty

willyAirstream - 4-26-2011 at 10:47 AM

Hey submarine,
try standing at the Alba Market with the puppy and a bag of dog food. And I'll keep an eye out for anyone looking for a new buddy.

ps No more pics Ken :)
