Does anybody have any idea of how to get the phone number for Doney's Restaurante In Muluge? or maybe a link or something? I'm pretty certain I lost my wallet there with a few hundred in it, along with everything else, and I can't seem to find anything other than numbers for Doney's tacos. It's probably hopeless, but feel like trying anyways, because now I'm broke as dirt!

I am not defending the restaurant as i don't know the owners or the staff. But in our experience, 9 out of 10 times a customers comes back saying they are "absolutely sure" they left their wallet, sunglasses, or phone here, later call back saying they found it.

I wish I could say that, but the car and everything else was turned inside out. The last time i saw it was paying the bill there, we passed out nearby, woke up and I was unable to find it.

Hola again, jeremias...

Just got back from Mulege. I stopped and talked with Mely's wife..he was in Santa Rosalia. She said no wallets have been found....but she looked around in thier Lost/Found stuff anyway....lots of clothes, etc..but no wallet.

Sorry I couldn't help much, amigo, but at least you know Mely does not have it waiting for you...good luck with the search.

p.s. edit to add: Take heart though...good things happen. Almost 30 years ago I awoke at mi Coyote Bay casa, went to the kitchen to make coffee..and found my wallet clipped to the message board on the kitchen door. Along with a note from one of Don Johnson's waiters at the Serinadad Hotel saying I had left it on my dinner table the night before during a Roast Pig fiesta. A great guy named Manuel Cuesta Drew who remains one of my good Mulege amigos today.

That wallet had over $1300 USD in it...same amount as it had when I left it behind. Manuel, being the fellow he is, refused any reward when I went to see him. But good things happen to good people..and I found ways to thank him over the unsueing years. My reward was found in his friendship.

Hope you made the same kind of friends...and get that wallet back.

The only other place i was at before it got lost was a campground at San ignacio at the lagoon. I did throw my clothes down before showering, so that's another possibility. Could there be a phone at that place? Thanks for all the help!

I lost my passport at Hacienda Santa Veronica a couple of years ago. Looked everywhere, asked around, etc. Did the same thing when I returned from a 2 week dirt bike trip, no luck. Crossing the border wasn't too bad, because the passport rule wasn't really being enforced yet. Unpacking and stowing my gear back home, guess what I found in my small first aid kit? A passport I had stashed there in a drunken moment. I hardly ever lose anything, but I misplace tons of merde.

Rule Number One. stash your wallet/Docs when you start drinkin or go out. In my vehicles I always have one place where I put them! Except sometimes?

One place and in the am. there they are. Hopefully! Hope you didn't drop it between car and tacos; Semana Santa would have been a Lottery chip!? Hope you find it in your First Aid pack or write it off to experience. :no:

which campground was it? sound like you need to ask a san ignacio nomad to ask the police there if it was turned in or to go to the campground for ya...try juanita from casa leree at 615-154-0158 I think

Update.....a crazy one at that..... My wallet was turned into the police at Guerrero Negro who notified the consulate , who then contacted my family. I got the number of somebody, not sure if maybe it's a cop, but at any rate he happens to be driving up to Ensenada and meeting me tomorrow. And from what I gather is that there is money still inside! wowww!

Wow, that is a great wallet story!

I recently lost my wallet while vacationing in Maui. I have a list of emergency phone numbers in there. My wife received a phone call on her cell phone that my wallet had been found in a parking lot.

I retreived my wallet and everything was there.

Seems like there are some really fine people around this world, for sure!

Sorry, I was busy spending all my found cash at Hussongs. Gustavo, who came to Ensenada to return my wallet and cash, lives in Guerrero Negro and owns a hotel by the name of Hotel Ines. He was camping with his family at the San Ignacio campground we stopped over for a night. He found it in the shower where i dropped it. Obviously an extremely nice quality person, and I plan to stop by his establishment to say hello next time I'm coming through.
