Hotel Cuesta Mulege

yellowklr - 4-24-2011 at 08:51 PM

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Cuesta on the South river of Mulege. Very nice rooms that are equipped with A/C and Sky Tv. Rooms are very clean and modern with plenty of hot water. Location is nice and close to all.
I'll be back for sure. Everyone there treated me real well.

Pepe and Sandra at Cuesta Real are great! Good location and she will cook for you if you wish. Airstream Willy is doing his Baja Internship there.:D Yes, they accept well behaved dogs. Morning walk on the River and down to the panga launch area. Cool. Tio

Am just stopping for the night on my way to La Paz, but with fish like that maybe I will try Sunday morning before we finish the drive. Look for use Saturday afternoon, we are driving a tan F150 with CO plates.

A question for the ambassador, (seeing as you are in the middle of the area in question):

How many RV spaces are there, and, how many are open and not occupied by full-timers? Well, not right now, but during the main travel season, say Nov/Dec and Mar/Apr?

Cuesta Real gets good reviews and looks perfect for an overnight (or two, or three) for travelers heading north and south. We have stopped in practically every other RV park in the Mulege area while passing through, but Cuesta always seemed full when viewed from the highway while going by.

There is roughly 12 full hook up spaces open for travelers . There is another 8 occupied by snowbirds. Reservations are recommended, but we can always squeeze you in in a bind. (There are 3 other spaces with temp hook ups, water/elec.) Sept thru May averages 70% occupancy ( a guess) for RV spaces, while summer is only 10% occupied, but rooms are almost 100% in the summer. You need to stop in to see the whole place, from the road you only see the permanent spaces.
