Most of us know the last, what 4-5 yrs, the Cartel
Violence, Extortion, Kidnappings, to name a few,
are aimed at Mex Nationals, Police, Wealthy Mex
Citizens, and RARELY include law abiding US Tourist Gringos.
What irks me, is when US Travel Co's that deal in
sending US Tourists to Mex, will go out of their way,
and fabricate statements that the violence
in Mex, is restricted solely to the Border Cities of
Juarez and TJ. That is just not accurate. In and around
Acapulco last month there were some 120 murders.
US Tourist Co's and people that have an economic interest
in Mex Tourism distort the FACTS that the violence is nationwide. But I wholeheartedly believe
that Gringos are not a target of organized crime,

All that said and appreciated, two years ago, the crime wave wasn't in Acapulco or Taumalipas, Puerto Vallarta or many other places. It's speading as

And if you are near where it happens to someone else, will that effect you and your sense of security? The watch area is about 2/3 or northern Mexico.
The Mex Gov has to be getting rich from this or it would be stopped. The Mex pres opposed legalizing pot in Ca. why? I love Mexico and Mexican people,
but when the gov allows the drug cartels to control the law all bets are off. Hey remember Columbia, get rid of the bad guys and it's a nice tourist

Theft of homes is up in Loreto. I believe this is due to Loreto Bay and Butterfield Const. as they left in the middle of the night oweing two weeks
pay to the workers and money due to supplier. Also, the second company also did the same thing. So the workers (that they brought in from all over
Mexico) had no money to go home to their families. Also, young people who are on drugs will steal things to get money for drugs. I have lost
