Unbelievable. Turn it over to the FBI.

monoloco - 5-8-2011 at 12:54 PM

Yeah, it looks like the poster is in California.

Yeah....go for it. Get after Craig's List as well for trafficking in hot federal documents. They have to assume some responsibility whether they want to or not.

$500 would be a bargain

But I'd suspect it's already reported as stolen.

Can't trust anybody nowadays.

Looks like a pretty serious offense to me.http://www.state.gov/m/ds/investigat/c10714.htm

It's been for sale for a couple weeks. It is the 3rd passport that I have personally seen for sale on Craigslist.

monoloco - 5-8-2011 at 01:20 PM

I forwarded it to the State Department Inspector General.

Hook - 5-8-2011 at 01:34 PM

Maybe it's a sting op. That would be cool.

Mostly, stings, scams and setups on CL.

mulegemichael - 5-8-2011 at 04:19 PM

pretty amazing, huh?

Bajahowodd - 5-8-2011 at 04:26 PM

Seems to me that anyone foolish enough to buy it, would only be able to use it for certain minimal ID situations. Unless the person that lost that passport failed to report it, the US customs would have a bright red flag on it.

BajaBlanca - 5-8-2011 at 05:08 PM

doesn't that just take the cake.

805gregg - 5-8-2011 at 08:59 PM

I guess having a child born in the US has lost some luster, if there are no jobs in the US.

bajafam - 5-8-2011 at 09:16 PM

Who doesn't think that there are people out there who would get their kid a passport just so they could sell it?

Marc - 5-9-2011 at 06:00 AM

Does Craig's List check out any of this stuff??
