Oh ! so many uears ago in Baja Sur:
At one time in my History there was a Couple living in Fresno Calif, he being a Pressman for the Fresno Bee. He was also a Sailor.
In his back yeard he and his Wife Virginia built a Saling Vessel finishing it out over at Morro Bay.
Their Idea and Dream was to Sail around the World!
Vessel finished and completed they headed South with another Sailing Boat as Company. On reaching the Tip of Baja there was some problems with the
other Boat so while they were waiting they decided to Sail up the Sea of Cortez..THEY NEVER LEFT!!
They Sailed up and down , both sides of the Cortez and finally decided on Loreto. So they went North and bought a Trailer so that they could live
ashore.
Sad part- Vern was his name- was driving his VW Bus from the center of town when apparently had a heart Attack and hit the Sea Wall.
His Wife decided to stay and had the Trailer near the Beach for several years. One time my Father-inLaw and I where helping her with some work. On the
way to my Place he turned to me and said"I am going to Marry that Lady" He had just met her!!
Well he did, moving from the States down to her Place, They married and moved back to the States and had a good 10 years befoe he Passed on.
She passed away last year at 92.
