My sister tried it out at Otay this week and said it worked well...not as fast as SENTRI but faster than the regular lanes. Hopefully San Ysidro gets
a couple or ten of these lanes soon....
It is important to note that only CARDS with the RFID will work......a regular passport book with the RFID chip does not!
I wonder if any one knows that if you have a 2 yr or older passport as a example ,can you have it reissued to a new one that has the RFID chip in it,

Again....the whole sentence ends with the word CARDS...so it implies the following:
"Such documents include U.S. passport (cards), SENTRI (cards) and new legal permanent resident and border crossing cards"
We specifically went through the lane, tried it out and they said passport books with RFID chips are not accepted.
