TIJUANA – A suspense series set in the wine country of Valle del Guadalupe begins Monday through the Internet.
“El Porvenir” consists of seven, 10-minute episodes in HD that can be viewed at: http://www.elporvenirlaserie.com
Local filmmakers -- producer Miguel García-Yee and director Manuel Alejandro Anell – wanted a way to disseminate their work at a low cost. They
started filming a year ago, with each episode costing between $1,000 and $1,500.
“It’s a television series, but made for a massive medium like the Internet,” said García-Yee. “It’s an alternative since it’s tough to do movies or TV
shows.”
With a total of 19 actors and supported by Vigilante Films, the series was shot in the towns of Francisco Sarco, El Porvenir and San Antonio de las
Minas arround the vineyards.
“The goal has always been to entertain the public. But our expectation is to make our work known in the entertainment world,” the producer said.
The plot revolves around several murders and the disappearance of several people. The actors include Joaquín Romero, Daniel Cosío and Enrique St.
Martin.
The music in the series is by Tijuana composer Guillermo Moran-Arreola and by the band Calacas Blues from Costa Rica. The original theme of “Todo lo
que veo” is from the band Zubs.
The series also will be transmitted in Spain through http://www.escalofrio.com and in Paraguay through http://www.remojito.tv .

They recently filmed and aired a very popular telenovela in the Guadalupe Valley called "Cuando Me Enamoro". I felt a very personal tie to the series
as the lead "galan" was none other than Juan Soler. He is originally from the same town where I lived in Argentina for many years and we both played
on the same rugby team...
