I had a problem. I'm building a water feature out of some discarded foam panels later to be covered with concrete. Includes a little birdbath.
There's no spigot nearby to plumb in for a water source and I'm not about to haul water to it every day so...I googled solar pumps for water
fountains. I found this little gem. 4"x4" panel and a little pump. FREE water all day, as long as the sun shines.

Since it's only a recirculating pump you will still have to haul water to replensh what's lost through
evaporation and with the small amount in the bird bath that would be frequently. You need to add a large resivior somewhere (buried 25 gal trash can?)
to cut down the water hauling. The brd bath would overflow into the resivior and the pump would bring it back.
