In the Monday Morning Randomness section of today's EBaum's World there is a picture of a small SUV, a BMW it looks like, being lifted on one side by what appears to be a rubber or plastic bag with an attached hose plugged into the exhaust. I can't quite make out the trademark but the last 3 letters are SIL.

It occurs to me that this would be very useful for getting out of a stuck in Baja sand. Even if up to the axels, it wouldn't take much space to slip the deflated bag under one side, plug it into the exhaust and it would raise the vehicle enough to slip some boards or branches underneath, then repeat on the other side. The best part is that it wouldn't sink into sand.

Anyone heard of this?

ARB makes them too. I think they look pretty indispensable. These things look like you could stuff them under the car in a mud bog or deep sand and it would probably lift your car right up.

From the arb site: " In conditions of sand or mud, or it's too rocky ~ a metal jack just won't do." - Well, that just about covers most of baja.
