Bob asnd Susan;
Great work and Photos!! Best I have seen in several Years.

Be Carefull through some of those "Species" Nuts will try to say you are treating the Whale Sharks badly!!

That shark took off after she touched it, did you get the message? That was a baby they get over 50' and live over 60 years, if they are left alone.

I have swam with them and touched them and they didn't seem to mind. After a while they will dive and it's over. I really don't think I have shortened the creature's life. See Skeet's post.

From what I saw, if they had the motor up they must have been kicking their feet really fast to catch and run over the whale.
To each his own.

FYI, There is a Fuji XP20 waterproof camera at Costco for $40 off until7/3. So that makes it under $130. I think it can go 5 meters under water.
Cool video, I would really like to see one of those up close and personal like that. What a great experience

Absolutely loved it! This is what retirement in Baja is all about. This video defines it to perfection!

We saw 4 whale sharks in Playa Santa Barabara last month; it was incredible. 2 people in our party did get in the water but didn't touch the shark; just swam next to him, which didn't seem to bother him. I was concerned about people get whacked with his tail so we kept a good distance. Like any wild animal, I think it's a good idea to maintain a respectful boundary. After all, this is his home, not ours; important to be good neighbors, right?
