You're only as good as your last integrity check. Zeta Magazine say all the Rosarito police have gone over to the dark side since Captain Montero left. This cop was getting $3K pesos a week to protect the people running c-ckfights. " Among those arrested was an official figure of the Police and Traffic recently honored for his honesty." Not recent enough I guess.

Yeah, I thought it was legal. You think it's regulated? There used to be a Palanque where the Rosarito Pavilion mall is now. Went there once- but for a Juan Gabriel concert during the fair.

I know that as little as ten years ago it was legal and supposedly regulated... but now?

My point was that like most everything in Mexico, legal has relatively nothing to do with it. Down here you can do anything you want... if you find the right person to pay. And, it would seem that with all of Mexico's problems this wouldn't even make the top 1000. :rolleyes:

More than likely protecting someone involved with the fights. They do..or did....set up a Palenque in town during Carnavál and it was open to the public. Some very scary looking folks there.

Why such the big deal over offering security services if c-ck-fighting is no big deal? Why the perp walk? Does dirty politics impact individual policemen like cartel involvement does?
