We're going to arrive in BOLA around the 4th or 5th of July. We have always stayed at Daggetts. We''ll be driving a 33'ft motorhome with tow. We don't
know our exact arrival date so reservations are not an option. I'm wondering if this campground typically fills up during the 4th of July weekend and
what would be the best alternative if the campground is full. Thanks Ronbajatravelergeorge - 6-14-2011 at 09:12 PM
I've never seen daggetts "filled up." But if they are, there are many other campgrounds available. Check out some of the places north of town. You
just may find something you like better than daggetts.absinvestor - 6-14-2011 at 09:48 PM
Thanks. In past trips we haven't had a tow car. Many of the 'roads" to the campgrounds looked like a good place to get a larger motorhome stuck and
didn't appear to have adequate room to turn around. Is there a camping area that is easily accessible for a larger motorhome (towing a car) that you
would prefer to Daggetts? (It wouldn't have to be a formal campground if easily accessible.) Thanks RonMarc - 6-15-2011 at 06:23 AM
I've been at Daggett's in July (never on the 4th) and it was nowhere near full. Very hot as you probably know.
If you are self contained why not La Gringa?

Daggetts is a good place to stay and with the lack of tourism this year there won't be a problem staying there.

Dag's is the place we stay at mostly. It's fantastic there. Regardless of the year....I have always seen plenty of room there.
July and August are the hottest months. :-(
You will find corvina, grouper, seabass, sailfish, roosterfish, snook, yellowtail fishing to be a wow factor.

Thanks to all. Larry C - I will be in touch- looking forward to seeing your home. Ron To Mcfez- we seem to have the same outlook on life and baja. I
noticed that you once inquired on Larry C's home. Patty and I don't need both the house and the guest quarters ie it is just us and one dog- any
interest in a partnership? (We haven't yet seen the home but I'm guessing we can be happy in either the guest home or main home.)BajaGringo - 6-15-2011 at 03:35 PM

The photo would appear to be taken at La Gringa, looking south... Daggett's would be a few miles away, on the right side of the bay.bkbend - 6-15-2011 at 06:24 PM
Unlikely to be full, I talked to Rueben after Easter (when it was full) and he said Christmas is the only other time of year he approaches a full
house. In the summer you'll only find a few crazy people or die-hard fisher types.Von - 6-15-2011 at 08:34 PM

La Gringa is great, and with the rock bottom no stingrays. But not on an extremely high tide.
