This is the area where the Colorado River meets the Sea of Cortez. As we returned to the U.S. during the last of February, a storm was brewing and
the landscape was breathtaking - pretty other-worldly. Give it a moment to show up - it is well within Doug's 50k limit.

A very nice photo.

Really cool Natalie! That cloud hugging the earth is interesting... like fog? I presume you are facing north, northeast and looking up the Colorado
delta from the head of the gulf... the distant mountains are in Arizona?

Generally speaking correct, David. We have several photos from this area - each very different from the others and each more abstract. As I didn't
have to fly nor do the camera work, I was free to simply get lost in the beauty of it all - very trippy experience, it was.
I'll try to find time to post a couple more before I head South later this week. YEAH! Lucky me!

Nice homage to John McPhee :-)
Those look like the Chocolate Mountains, the gunnery range.
Natalie Ann, I put a little juju on your photo to increase the contrast;

Cherck out Fred's board. Near the top, Gringorio is looking for good photographs for a specific application.
Look for: Calling all amateur photographers! thread.

Nikon - How did you do that from where you are? And thank you.
Mi esposo had edited the photo for a large (20x30) print (which is gorgeous!) and I just resized it for the web. Lost alot. Later Steve suggested
that today I begin with the original photo and start over, since the post would be so small... guess that way it would have been more clear. But I'm
still curious as to how you did that from there.

Natalie, the 'magic mouse' will help you in many ways, just right click, copy and paste away!
