Was this at the onyx mine of El Marmolito, east of El Tomatal/ Miller's Landing?BajaBlanca - 6-17-2011 at 10:44 AM
wow, the osprey usually build their nests so high, and this one os so low .... the birds will NOT be happy when people use the palapa though .... or
is it off limits now due to the new owner building a house there ????
or perhaps that palapa is not used because well...because those birdies can make a BIG mess close to their nests .... I'm just sayin' ...woody with a view - 6-17-2011 at 12:12 PM
the house is 1/2 mile away. the area of the nest was totally devoid of human activity. we were exploring looking for the rock circles and never found
them.David K - 6-17-2011 at 12:59 PM
Look south (I think), in the sand dunes, inland a bit from the high tide line... Too bad M isn't posting... There is one other Nomad who was there and
witnessed all those events over 25 years ago!
we scoured the area. nothing to see except a few dilapidated shacks that would make for an EPIC Nomad party on the beach. with a couple of generators
and some bands, i'm just saying....
