Woke about 6am & it was raining light to moderate but at least it lasted 30minutes or so. Completely covered in gray blanket now at 9:30am but no more rain. Coming over from mainland as seen on satelite photos. We could sure use more. Ocean temps rising, also! 74 degrees on my toe temp gauge but we be swimming a gusto! Tio

Had a medium rain yesterday am at Punta Conejo. Just a few drops in Vizcaino this morning

mike odell - 7-4-2011 at 03:25 PM

Drove to Los Barrilles from La Ribera about 3 hours ago, Heavy rain in
Santa Cruz, to Spa Buena Vista, wipers on full speed, However not a
drop in my little Pueblo! Ni Modo, maybe soon.

Rained for a half an hour in central Rosarito Beach today at 5pm. Of course it rained, we painted this afternoon. :)

BajaBlanca - 7-4-2011 at 07:04 PM

Leo - 7-4-2011 at 07:49 PM

What do you call 'comfortebel warm' Blanca?

bajajudy - 7-5-2011 at 08:00 AM

more rain last night
very overcast today so far....steamy
amazing how a little rain can make all your plants smile...may have something to do with the dust getting washed off the leaves...ya think?

Russ - 7-5-2011 at 08:40 AM

Amazing ! We got a couple of drops this morning. 81º ~ 85%

tiotomasbcs - 7-5-2011 at 10:04 AM

Beautiful pics, Russ. The clouds look like Ghost Ships passing out at Sea. Could be in the South Pacific! Almost the Tropics. Cloudy & Humid with only sprinkles again this morning down here! Air Conditioning used for the first time last nite and I slept much better than nite before!!:O Soon we'll start complaining?! Tio

Eli - 7-5-2011 at 06:19 PM

Well, maybe it wasn't all that much, but, I bet you get some pretty little tiny desert flowers out of the deal. The desert will take what ever little bit of water it can get and make something beautiful out of it.

I was delayed for an hour and a half at a RAGING vado just north of Catavina today. Extremely dangerous amount and speed of water crossing the road.

I never understood all those Vados signs. Now I know why they are there.

Just had an amazing dinner of Almejas we got from Woody´s sisters place.

Saludos Amigos!

In 2005 we were delayed by one of those raging vados north of Cataviña---it does give new meaning to all those signs.

Yesterday there were clouds and some drops while we ate at Rancho Santa Inez in Cataviña and today there was rain off and on from San Quintin north---good rain.

Raging Vado

Curt63 - 7-7-2011 at 08:50 PM

This water was only about 2 feet deep, but it was wide and moving FAST. I was the 3rd car there and waited an hour and a half

Indy - 7-17-2011 at 08:30 PM

Just spent two weeks in Frailes

Can it be true! Now that's worth celebrating!
Let it rain!

Just spent two weeks on the East Cape and not a drop when I was there.

Great pics guys!

Vado Peligroso!

I drove down the 5th of July. Strange to see some vados full with water. Scary moment of the drive was when foolish motorcycle group passed me IN A FLOODED VADO. Luckily no one got hurt, but the guy who attempted to pass me got SOAKED.

BajaBlanca - 7-23-2011 at 11:17 AM

those vados are ridiculously scary - I would never have imagined how dangerous they can be til we had a major storm here. first and only time in 5 years it poured but every dip was a huge fast-moving river of water. I had to fly out or we would never have attempted to reach GN that day.
