It's kinda funny, in a way, that while all the major brewers in the world keep merging, the craft industry is flourishing.
In my opinion, a true beer afficionado should never be drinking the swill coming from the small handful of multinational brewing giants.
Case in point. Anyone living in the Southwest US has probably noticed a big commercial blitz for the beer known as Stella Artois. Stella Artois was at
one time a small brewer in Belgium.
So, the international giant InBev buys Anheiser Busch. Next thing you know, Stella Artois brewed in Van Nuys, is all over the place. So much for
Belgian Beer. Not to mention, they also brew Kirin there. So much for Japanese Beer, too.
