Art (EDM-1) is arriving in his new Baja rig tomorrow and was wondering what the situation is for RV parks here in La Paz.
Since I'm clueless as to what the current local situation is, I'm hoping there are some Nomads tuned in who have had recent experiences in a RV park

Tripper, to the best of my knowledge, Campestre Maranatha is the sole surviving RV park in the area....either do a search here on BN....or Google it.
It's just off the hwy behind the free wi-fi coffee shop near the University between Chemetla & El Centenario. It's clean & relatively quite
considering it's location about 1 block off the hwy.
If he doesn't need amenities like hook-ups & all that, there's the beach at Tecolote or out by El Comitan.bajajudy - 7-9-2011 at 12:33 PM

Campestre Maranatha closed? Last time i stayed there was mid April. Why don't you call Cindy, the owner at 612-124-6275 or their US number if you are
still there; 360-686-6103.

Leo, Camptestre Maranatha is alive & well & open for business! I'm pretty sure that comitan was referring to an old park near km 15 on the
beach side of the hwy at the other end of El Centenario. It'd been closed for a long time & recently reopened & apparently is closed

It is too bad that La Paz doesn't have more and better RV Parks, especially closer to the malecon/downtown. It is a destination and would certainly be
patronized and appreciated.
I have always parked on the street somewhere near the west end of the Malecon near The Dock Restaurant. I have had both smaller Class A or a
smaller trailer. Not sure how safe you are, but I never had a problem.

Thanks, David. I am in Bajatrippers study as I write. Nora and I enjoyed a tour of La paz today, thanks to Sully's driving as Steve is suffering from
leg pain. I will post a complete trip report when we get back home in the US. There are a few places that we discovered today that are few very
promising overnight beach camping spots for the rest of our stay here (maybe 3 ore days?). Walmart also allows RVs to park in its parking lot.
