I don't know how you do it man! We put many hours on the sea and never get lucky with a wahoo. you are my hero.
did you ever find your trailer?

jerry.....Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
When the wahoo bit Friday I was trolling for marlin, or maybe a dorado, while ready to switch to cedar plugs if some yellowfin made an appearance.
The hoo hit a marlin feather with a mono leader.
The long screaming run was just as sweet, and the filets just as good, however, as if it was part of the plan.
I never got the trailer back. After a couple of months I ordered another just like the one stolen and the Florida builder delivered it to Louisiana
where I picked it up in May.
I now have my hitched locked into the receiver on my truck, keep the trailer tongue locked to the hitch, and park the rig off street on the lot of a
friend near the marina when I'm fishing.
Maybe I can keep the new trailer a bit longer than the last......

Sorry about all that trouble but grilling those hooo steaks will erase those bad memories.
You must have been lucky on that one with just mono for the leader.
