A typical San Francisco winter...er... I mean summer.

nbacc - 7-23-2011 at 10:12 PM

Hey Deno.............we have gotten away pretty easy so far this summer! I am afraid though that we have awhile to go and may yet get some high temps. Nice here in Redding today. Somewhere in the high 90s. Nancy

nbacc - 7-23-2011 at 10:15 PM

Whooooo my mistake. we got above 100 today.

Hey....Boysenberries are picked and frozen packed. You guys stop by when you are in Sac...get a bag of berries. Sparky says hi :-)

Bajatripper - 7-24-2011 at 06:41 AM

High 90s and humid in La Paz, but nights have been pleasant, in the 80s. Can't wait to head up to Washington next month for a change of pace.

El Camote - 7-24-2011 at 07:11 AM

102° with a heat index of 121° in our nation's capital on Friday. It felt like a giant sauna outside. Glad I'm flying home to SoCal today. :tumble:

reminds me of being a kid and running out of ice on the beach in baja. all the beer went into the tide pools so it was tolerable at 72 degrees, much better than 95 degrees, IMHO!

ligui - 7-24-2011 at 09:37 AM

It's a very nice ! 68 here in Fraser Co. Love the summers here . :tumble::spingrin:

bajajudy - 7-24-2011 at 09:41 AM

It is actually nice here so far today.
Nice breeze over the water coming out of the marine layer.....that is how I spell relief.

shari - 7-24-2011 at 10:05 AM

nbacc - 7-24-2011 at 11:34 AM

Oh............I am glad I am not back East. I will take the Redding heat ANY time over that humid stuff!! Hi to Sparky............from Wiley. He is missing Baja and the beaches. When it cools down we will be there. nancy

Eli - 7-24-2011 at 12:26 PM

As I don't have a thermostat I am only guessing, but here in Coatepec Vera Cruz it is momentarily sunny with thunder clouds just beginning to form, just fine for taking a walk, but I would stay on the shady side of the street, I always do. Outside, maybe 80 something degrees in sun and for sure mid 70's in the shade. In in the house, no need for a fan nor a sweater, very comfortable, as Goldilocks would say, it is ahhhhhhhhhhh, just right.

BajaBlanca - 7-24-2011 at 02:47 PM

sooo hot for la bocana today (Sunday) .... humid and 75 in the shade, much hotter inthe sun. thing of it is, there is not one breeze ... we think this humidity is the aftermath of Dora.

quite unusual weather for us spoiled brats who are used to 65 - 70 degrees !!

elgatoloco - 7-24-2011 at 03:13 PM

71 degrees. Just got back from a bike ride snorkel/swim to La Jolla cove. Mucho gentes enjoying the day. Water about 68-69 and very clear. Surf's up, NOT.

woody with a view - 7-24-2011 at 04:52 PM

just noticed while cooking a whole chicken, with a beer can in its butt, that the sky was crying. not enough to get out of, but enough to look up for the bird flying over.....

Viva Dora, Mickey, Hurrican, y las otras......

You can put on as much as you can handle, But, on the other end of the spectrum, once you're nekkid, that's it.

Oh. I get it. You were being funny!:lol::P

bajajudy - 7-24-2011 at 05:18 PM

I'm wondering ... your website says you have AC in the summer. I'm guessing you run that off a generator, not solar? Or do you use solar and supplement as needed? I've seen pictures of your mighty battery bank (how AH is that, anyway), and am guessing it could power the AC at least overnight. Inquiring minds want to know!

nbacc - 7-25-2011 at 06:35 AM

Won't be there in sept...........not only too hot but expecting our first grandbaby!! maybe sometime in Oct or Nov. Nancy

Bob and Susan - 7-25-2011 at 08:07 AM

no solar can power a "real" ac unit

you need a generator

no matter what people say it wont happen

until technology gets better i wouldn't even try

and you need BIG units
lots of power
the amps would suck the voltage down and the inverter would turn off

its always best to take electicty a littleat a time

one day it'll work off batteries... though...no now

DavidE - 7-25-2011 at 11:04 AM

pescadero max 88 min 82 with 60 - 70% humidity.

I am well aware of that, and that's why I was wondering how exactly you are handling it - mostly wanted to know if you use the batteries at all for that purpose. The amount of panels you would need is ... impractical, to say the least.

chrisx - 7-25-2011 at 07:03 PM

Seems as though all the world is to hot

apparently people need more electricity to condition the air

nice weather near Ensenada

fat ladies that don't beat people in Ensenada

the fat lady that owns the restaurant in Ensenada want me to get free Spanish lessons with my meal

the fat lady that holds my hand in Ensenada wants a free meal, but doesn't beat me even when I eat all the food

62 °F

Barometer:
30.07 in and falling
Humidity:
80 %
Visibility:

I spent the afternoon in the rain and got yelled at by a fat lady who wants $1.55 for 1 small nectarine
