Pictures were taken yesterday, on a field trip, with students from Ocean Discovery Institute.

Oh what fun! These students will now be enraptured for all time. Still on my Hit List but the list keeps getting longer! TioOggie - 7-30-2011 at 12:44 PM
Tio,
The Whale Sharks are here July thru October. The local fishermen are doing ecotours to see the Sharks, Dolphins, And Fin whales. Killer Whales were
spotted off Isla Pescador two days ago.

I believe that Doc photo IDs them every year. Yesterday in the museum I saw a chart that listed the numbers of Whale Sharks per season and how many
were return guests. I don't remember the numbers though.
Dern and I saw two of them out in front of our place a couple of weeks ago, grabbed our paddle boards and checked them out. They weren't very big,
only about 12' or so.
On Friday there was a larger one right in front of town, cruising around the pangas as we were catching bait. It was cool for the tourists who would
normally only come here to fish to see something else that Bahia has to offer.
