Very nice. Is your house 2 stories?

bajabass - 7-29-2011 at 01:34 PM

Very nice picture sir!! Well worn phrase, but that is one of the most beautiful places on the planet, IMHO! :wow:

If the fishing was as of old in the bay, I would be herding Mrs. Dra. Bajabass towards a transfer to Mulege or Santa Rosalia!!!!

to Curt 63- I don't know if you would call it a house or two stories. It is more of a palapa but it does have a loft with two single beds that are put together to make a king. Attached is a picture of the front. I haven't measured the inside but I think it probably 30 ft inside?? The main level has a kitchen with propane refrig, shower and front patio. (The palapa was built around a 23ft 5th wheel which has sleeping for 4 etc.) If you're in the area stop by- you'll see the motorhome and car with colorado plates. We always have cold (reasonably cold with a propane refrig)beer and soft drinks. Ron

Nice set up and thanks for the offer. I ask because I met Sandy 2 years ago and she said she had the only 2 story place on Burro Beach.

She and Ed are real characters (even by Baja standards). We had some laughs!

Haven't met Sandy but her house certainly looks nicer. I think she is a builder? Here is a pic of our loft.

Are there ever any palapas for rent at santispac, el burro, or coyote. I am looking for a couple of nights the third week of august

You need to call the Playa Reservation hotline 1 800 454 7 676 or
1 800 its hot n aug
The palapas on Coyote and Santispac and some on Burro, are 3 sides and a roof. About 5 meters sq. Open to the public, first come first served. If anyone collects, you pay daily (tip- cold Tecates go a long way). not very many people on the playas now, as it is HOT! You won't have a problem finding one.

There may be privately owned palapas on Coyote and Burro for rent, such as pictured above. Someone here might know.

A friend of mine has a palapa, high on the hill across the hwy from Coyote for rent. large - 3-4 rooms, no elec, no running water, rustic, nice views. u2u if interested.
