Help me - Capitans for Santa Rosalia / San Bruno

bajajurel - 7-31-2011 at 10:44 AM

I have fished the area for years in my own boat but now that she's gone I am back to Pangas. I need recommendations for Captains in the Santa Rosalia / San Bruno area. I usually stay at the El Morro so either location would be good for me.

I am planning a trip for mid-August and I would like to get a fish report also.

What happened to Jim's reports anyway?

Wait for Pescador to get off the road and he'll give you the best guide out of San Bruno.

I sent him a U2U. I know he's busy getting provisions so may take awhile.

Thanks Russ, I just was thinking of doing that to ask when he returns.

Depends on whether or not you want to catch a lot of fish. Rigo Ojeda is the very best guide and fisherman in the area. He has been fishing this area since he was a small boy in the village and has an innate sense of where the fish are and what they are doing. His phone number is 011-52-1-615-104-9850.

Fishing reports are posted every week on Western Outdoor News, but the easiest way to keep up to date is with http://www.bajafisherman.com

This is the brainchild of Robin Wade who is doing a good job getting information out about the whole peninsula.
