I can happily say that summer has finally truly arrived in Asuncion. Yesterday we took a day off working on our addition to domingiar....to
sunday...which means to relax and do what you like to do.
So we headed to Pta.Blanca to check out a tip on a manzanita firewood spot...an arroyo at the base of the San Pablo mountain...the doggies were likin
the new territory and chased a huge jackrabbit on he road to the arroyo. We passed 4 gorgeous secret beaches too.

We found the firewood place and explored the arroyo that ended here.....nope...didnt hook up with the main road..dang

we loaded up with firewood for this months BBQ's and headed to a beach for a lovely day of swimming and beach combing...first time we got skunked
fishing for boca dulce...hmm maybe they are a cold water fish?

this guy came for a visit...I'd never seen one before but his irridescent blue head was just amazing!!! ahhhhh bajaaaa

I thought it might have been a Japanese Beetle, but it isn't too much like this. Wonderful colors in nature. What gifts.
