It’s been a long long time since I’ve visited or posted here, but I thought sharing these photos with other Baja lovers made it worth returning to
visit Nomads.
My brother has started scanning photos from our 1990 Baja Hobie sailing adventure. Yes, I know this is ancient history, but I thought looking at the
old photos and places was fun. So I thought that many of you who have known Baja for much longer than I have would enjoy seeing these photos of
places that have undoubtedly changed a great deal since then.
I hope you’re all doing well and loving Baja!

Hey Greg - nice to see you here again!
Where are you? Planning another Baja adventure soon?
Thanks for coming back to share those trip pix. As I recall, it was an amazing voyage.

Great pictures. I don't quite know how to tell you this, so I'll just say it outright. Your last name (Joder) means "f*ck", in Spanish. I kid you not.

yes, I know.... no me jodas! My Spanish instuctors were often taken aback when I came to office hours the first time...
anyway, I'm glad you like the photos... hopefully my brother will finish scanning the rest of them to the finish in San Felipe.
Nena ... nice to know you're here - seems perfect. hopefully you're loving Baja in person these days ...

Awesome pictures. Looks like a great trip and kind of has my mind spinning to do the same.
The unquestionable highlight of your slideshow is your brother's (or your own?) choice of Oakley Shields...sunglasses too horrid to even wear
ironically these days. Well played.Marc - 8-13-2011 at 02:08 PM
Mucho thanks for posting these pics and I hope you guys are still adventuring. Yes; those Oakleys do bring back memories.Curt63 - 8-13-2011 at 05:07 PM
What an amazing and well documented adventure. One of the most enjoyable I've seen in a long time.
Where did you put in and where did you finish? Mag Bay to Loreto/Mulege?
The short shorts sure date it back to the 80's and 90's.
Yoder is a very popular Amish name. Are you Amish?
Thanks and cheers!gringorio - 8-21-2011 at 10:54 PM
Thanks everyone - the long-term Nomads know this is an older trip. It's just cool to finally see and share photos that were 'hidden' as slides all
these years. Thanks bro!
As I've come to learn since then, it's always the people you meet and interact with that make the journey worth while.
This adventure was no exception...
oh, we put in at Bahía Magdalena and took out in San Felipe. We've since paddled sea kayaks from San Felipe across the Colorado River delta to El
Golfo de Santa Clara and from San Felipe to Bahia de los Angeles.
To me, Baja is the Sea of Cortez...

I'm working on it, thanks for your interest.

Awesome pics! I had tried for a while to view all of them but kept getting denied because of the bandwith issue. Thanks for sharing!
