Asuncion fishing tournament a success at Las Fiestas Tradicionales

Baja's new government has tightened up their spending belts and no longer sponsor big fishing tournaments so a local tackle shop owner organized one anyway which was a success although only half the number of anglers entered due to the increase in entry fees.

the weather was just perfect and luckily the fish cooperated too with all boats bringing in lots of nice size yellowtail in the 20-35 pound range and big calicos.

everybody wanted to pose with the tails!

here is the queen...gotta love that crown eh!

after that we all headed out to the horse races which were insane...packed! there is boe4fun eyeing up the horses.

then we took the kiddies to the midway to go on rides, gorfed some tacos and went to the dance...La Kura band from Tortugas were awesome....puras cumbias!
