I don't get why more people don't use this route. It is only a few minute north east of the TJ airport, right? And, it seems, ALWAYS faster. When we

A question about thee Otay access. Last time through TJ I was diverted to the Tacate road. If I had continued on that road would it have taken me to

Yeah, I think so. Should tie into either Industrial Blvd or the Garita de Otay.
We crossed N/B in the Ready Lane yesterday....16 minutes

Saying "Garita Otay".
The approach is on Blvd. Bella Artes. When you see the lines of cars going up the bridge, you need to maneuver to join the end of the line, taking
the farthest left lane.
Eventually, when you have made it inside the yellow concrete barriers separating your line from all the others, then things will go a lot faster.
And, yes, they have added two extra lanes to the dedicated Ready lane area.

But one has to remember that not everyone can get a SENTRI pass. It isn't a shoo-in from what I hear, so alternate solutions are good to look at. We
would be coming from the El Pescador area, so it doesn't seem too far out of the way, but again, not being there and not having done it, it is
guesswork. I'm an early riser, so maybe I will just shake my husband awake at 4 and we'll make a run for the border. ;-) Anyway, good to hear
everyone's opinions, for sure.

If you are in El Pescador, use the Blvd 2000 and the Otay crossing.
I have never had more than a 15 minute wait at Otay SENTRI.
If you use the Bella Artes entry into the Otay Ready Lane, you have to cut across the traffic lanes. If you use Industrial Blvd for the Ready Lane you
are already set up without lane crossings, just stay in the left hand lane.
Yesterday, from the top of the Bella Artes overcrossing to the Ready Lane booth it was about 16 minutes.....and the TJ police were there checking that
