The mountain you can see at the lower left in the first picture is about the same distance from me as the clouds and is about 6,500 feet elevation. We
desperately need rain here. Haven't had any since a single inch fell one day last August. Before that it was 4 inches from hurricane Jimena in October
of 2009. So every day we see these massive clouds form over the mountains, do nothing all afternoon, and then disappear in the night. Nature is such a
tease.
