Sorry Woody. But for someone who can drive hundreds of miles SOB at the drop of a hat, just seems to me that an hour drive to Dana Point is something you can work out. I'm going. And, it's about an hour from where I am. Wonderful cause.

Yes Sherry and others, bring on the auction items, I will be there bidding and hope the day helps bring a cure.

Dana Point offers a fine vacation spot, with lots of water oriented activities. I was there this week, and was able to see the huge Blue Whales within 3 miles of shore. Hope to see many of you there to show our Baja Nomad support!

This is great to see Nomad's with Baja businesses donate their product or service to increase the amount of bids, to get more people to come to Dana Point, CA (this is just north of San Clemente which is just north of San Diego County).

U.S. business owners, you can offer something of value as well... and it will expose your business and provide a great service for a wonderful lady and her family.

A lot of auctions have phone bidding. If you could set that up you could make more $$. Any smart phone can take a credit card. I have someone going from the Los Barriles to San Jose del Cabo this Wed. if anyone there plans to travel North before Oct., this might be a way to get the painting up North. You can U2U me telephone # and address, these people are trustworthy to deliver. This is not an easy time to find someone flying North. The piece is only 30 x 30 cm. + bubble wrap, easily fit in a small suit case.
Or, anyone have another idea on how we can get it from Los Barriles to State side cheap, I am open for suggestions and happy to cooperate.

Sally, as you know, I am far, far away. The folks I can ask this favor to deliver the painting to San Jose rarely go. If there is someone i SJ who can receive and hold it until you make it down there, u2u me and I will hopefully get it sent on Wed. Another option that I don't love to do but might work is to wait and send it on the bus to San Jose to be be picked up by you when you are down there. I will continue to consulte the pillow about how we can transport this little gem. Sara

Yes Sara, i do know you are far away.One other option may be Juanitas' Husband, Ty picking up the painting when he drives north.The only problem is he will have a really loaded truck, full of Juanitas stuff and the girls'also, and he goes the way of Todos Santos and up.I will keep working on this.Lots of work to a fundraiser and I am just helping .Hugs, Sally

Yes, not to minimalize the urgency and importantance of Ron and Christines plight, absolutley NOT.That was an immediate emergency.Nomads rallied like crazy and helped them when it was so needed.You Nomads really are the best.Serenita and Isak, many more, awesome time and energy, bucks and love!! i just hope your promises to mija(which I told her about) don't fade away with the latest emergency.Even a tiny bit helps.$20, whatever.She has had to sell her store, all of her inventory at insulting prices, her hubby is moving everything out of their home and selling as much as he can, there will be no home for her to go back to when and if she makes it thru this .The girls will be coming back here, going to the elementary school I did!(thats an OLD school)right by my dads house where they will be living.She needs your support NOW. Thanks Paulina and Ken!I just got off the phone with Juanita.She is back in the hospital for more chemo and platelets, etc.They discovered the shots she has been getting daily she is allergic to so now they need to find an alternative.Her platelets are dropping rapidly this time wwhich is not good.She has an "Angel donnor" who donates her platelets to her , however the donor is not expected to donate this soon.It is still one day at a time.Don't forget the prayers, Nomads... Here's a good look! Check out WON issue next week.They will be doing an article on our one and only Juanita! Some of you may know or remember, she was a Mexican fishing captain for some years.She was also on the cover of WON and a couple of inside reports and photos as well.It will be announcing the fundraiser for her on the 8th also!!I just recieved some good news from her.They found another platlet donor for her and she was being infused just an hour ago, but with three times the normasl dosage.She was that low.So hopefully she will be released tomorrow.Yeah, all those prayers help, and I am not really a religious person, in a traditional way.
