any recommendations for insurance for physical loss/damage while boat is on the water? We've got the liability and trailering coverage figured out, but having trouble finding comprehensive coverage for a boat permanently in BCS.

thanks.

thanks--I'll call Geoff.

According to its website, Bajabound policy covers only liability in Mexico, not loss or damage to the boat, etc.

thanks, again.

I called and Bajabound does not offer anything except liability. They did give me a lead.

Boat Insurance

Lewis and Lewis offers policies for on the water comprehensive. Prepare to be shocked at the price especially if you have an outboard. CaboInsurance out of CSL also offers several companies that insure boats on the water.

Progressive. You ONLY get comp/coll while in Mexico; but if you list your boat on your tow vehicle as zero value, then you will have liability while it is being towed. The down side to this is that while on the water, you have no liability - not a problem for me but if you need for renting a slip, then this won't work for you.
YMMV
