Any idea what specie of tree this is? Location: East Cape, Baja Sur. Note the seed pods.

That MAY be a Brownea Macrophylla
Red flowers?

Yes, red flowers. However, based on the photos I've seen, it's not Brownea Macrophylla. The flowers are smaller and dark red, jamaica colored. They
fall and litter the ground. Unfortunately, I have no photo of the flowers.

Got me stumped but the southern tip has lots of subtropicals I'm not familiar with. Looks like a legume though.
