I have been visiting this site for about two years since I purchased a condo in Rosarito in La Paloma. I've found lots of interesting info and banter
from the folks here.
I currently live in Fresno CA, but my wife and I plan to move to Rosarito full time when we retire in 9 years. We visit about once a month in the
summer and about every 90 days in the winter. WE LOVE IT!! We are not afraid to venture out into the colonias to find good food/restaurants.
So far, I have a barber, mechanic, lawyer, and handyman all in Rosarito. We have not seen any crime (knock on wood) and the people are friendly.

Nope, not a fig plucker and definately nothing that rhymes with it! Living in Fresno, I as always envious of the coastal lifestyle and hoped to
retire somewhere on the beach. We have traveled and driven quite a bit of Mexico (Baja, Manzanillo, San Blas, Playas de los Cocos, Acapulco, Puerto
Vallarta, Cozumel, Cancun) and like the culture and customs. My mother in law is orignally from Reynosa and my wife is 1/2 Mexican.
A few years ago we were part of a group of family and friends that rented condos in La Paloma. We had been to Rosarito several times but never to La
Paloma. We were very impressed by the grounds, maintanance, and closeness to the beach. On a whim, we asked and were shown a few units that were
available for purchase. A few weeks later we were owners!
We like the climate (not too hot) in Rosarito and the convenience of being within a 6 1/2 hour drive back to Fresno.
For those of you in Rosarito, try out La Esquinita up on top of the hill by the yellow castle. Good authentic breakfast menu specials!
