On a Lighter Note, "Chique Nada", Mexican Ingenuity Part III

When everything went dark during the big electrical blackout that affected San Diego, Tijuana, Rosarito and others, the big generators at the Veterans' Hospital in La Jolla did not start.

Nobody could do anything; elevators were stuck between floors and operating rooms and ICU were without power.

An elderly Mexican handyman, due for retirement, went over to the older, already retired generator that for some reason, hadn't been ripped out yet and he got it going.

Mexican mechanics know who do get things going with just the basic tools and few parts (maybe doctors too???), A young American mechanic would probably be looking for the data port to connect his computer.;D
