Probably no worse than usual.BajaWarrior - 9-14-2011 at 07:42 PM
It'll be very busy if they don't get San Ysidro opened back up!bajabound2005 - 9-14-2011 at 08:38 PM
FORGET IT! haven't you seen the news? San Ysidro is CLOSED. Otay is Hell.Pescador - 9-15-2011 at 06:09 AM

Posted this in the SY Collapse thread: Tecate was 5 minute crossing today/Thursday morning at 06:30.DENNIS - 9-15-2011 at 08:39 AM
5-AM..today...12 lanes open. Wait time less than an hour. Otay...very lite as well. [this is radio news]
All I can imagine is the inspectors at the booths were waving people through just like the good ol' days when all you had to say was, "US...NADA",
and you got a go.DENNIS - 9-15-2011 at 08:41 AM
Come to think of it, perhaps a lot of the work traffic is starting a four day weekend.
Tecate north-bound crossing report
Mulegena - 9-15-2011 at 08:53 AM
Passed through the Tecate north-bound garita yesterday evening 9/14 just as the sun set.
Just over one hour in line. Border agents pleasant.
No awareness of the scaffolding problem in TJ. Tecate has been my choice of exit for years now for various reasons.
Loved the drive through the Ruta de Vino as usual. Beautiful colors on the hillside in the late afternoon sun. Road not quite finished but very, very
good and passable in any vehicle, with or without tow-behind.
Best wishes and thoughts for quick recovery for those who were hurt in the scaffolding accident.
