You can enroll in STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program) thru the U. S. State Dpt (online). Your info will be sent to the Consulate in your area.
You can choose who to make this info available to. The Consulate can make this emergency info available to their representative (Warden) in many
cities. There is a comment area in which I entered my VA enrollment etc.
