yes. walk across and grab a taxi.danaeb - 9-20-2011 at 07:36 AM
Why not take the Crucero bus from the Greyhound terminal directly to the TJ airport, instead of the the Greyhound bus to the border? If you're flying
on Volaris you get a reduced fare on Crucero but I think it's pretty cheap either way. Check it out:

If youre really adventurous you can catch a chicken bus for about 10P at the main glorieta near McDonalds. They should say OTAY/AEROPUERTO etc. Post
later what you used.MitchMan - 9-20-2011 at 08:12 AM
DaleG,
How often do those 'chicken buses' run? Are they on a strict reliable time schedule of departure and arrival? You know, when you are going to catch
a plane, you can't afford to be late for the plane's departure and check in can sometimes be time consuming if its crowded.DaleG - 9-20-2011 at 08:16 AM
Those buses are usually running every 10 mins or so starting after sun up. I might take one sometime and report back on ETAs, etc.
Call me crazy but Im still in love with old diesel "skoolie" buses.
All last summer I spent lots of time riding the chicken buses all over TJ gettin familiar on how to live on the ultra-cheap.DaleG - 9-20-2011 at 08:19 AM
Of course when south of the border time becomes a crap shoot. Give plenty of time when depending on public transit in TJ.MitchMan - 9-20-2011 at 08:35 AM

Yes Sancho - I usually go to La Paz via TJ on Volaris every 6-8 weeks, so if there's a way to transit the border I think I've done them all. My new
favorite is Delta Truck Parking at Otay, $5/day and they drop you at the border and pick you up just outside immigration on your way back.
It occurred to me after re-reading this thread that Gerald is probably taking a bus from some other city and goes straight thru to SY, so the Crucero
bus wouldn't be an option.
