Just south of El Coyote (below Mulege), as the road cuts away from the bay, there is a make shift dump site. If you follow the road down off the
highway, it leads to a large metal gate and fence. According to Topo maps there is a small bay out there and a point called Punta Santa Barbara. Has
anyone been out there?

Yes, it is a beautiful beach. A palm tree, wide sandy beach, mangroves. You can also hike over the mountian. Great to paddle over from Coyote and
spend a day!

No, there is no road access. Many friends have hiked in though. We have paddled over from Coyote several times to spend the day.

The gate is to keep the cattle and bulls in. The hill to the south of Coyote Beach has been dissected with a fence in the past year for the same
purpose.
