I'm going to take a wild guess here, and suggest that you will likely have to go to someone in either Los Cabos or La Paz. I know, this post doesn't
help you. I just was bored.

Geez, is it still "screw the gringo" over there at INM offices?
It couldnt be easier over here, including an English speaking office worker IF you really need it, as easy as they have made it now.
Why pay someone who gives a % of what you pay to a crooked INM agent? On second thought, the middlemen are probably pocketing it all, now that mordida
is a beeg no-no.
It's really only taking TWO visits over here, now. One to file and one to pick it up. The wait is about 5-7 days and you are notified by checking
their website, when it is ready.
Go do it yourself. That's what most foreigners do in the US of A.

Yes, you can do it yourself very easy, unless you're not there to do it. There can be reasons that you need help. Try Susan Hill, 612-145-0485

Sounds like an agent might save you ONE trip to INM, but you still have to show up to receive it, dont you? At least you do over here. Agents cant do
it all.

Even your handler can screw it up for you if he isn't on the ball (been there, done that). If you aren't fluent in Spanish and you don't have endless
hours to visit the IMM office and you don't live in the same town as the office and if you'd rather go fishing or watch TV or drink a beer or be
somewhere else (you get my drift) get someone competent to help you. I don't know exactly what I pay Alonso to help me but whatever it is it's worth
it. I've lost enough over the years using the wrong people to pay him several times over.....just my dos centavos......

Hook has a point and I've done my own renewals for years. Don't know the cost now, but years ago it was $100. THere are 2 camps: those who
think the process is easy -- and I guess some offices are easy -- but my experience is that the La Paz office can be difficult. Sometimes it has
seemed that every agent did things differently than the agent standing next to him/her. After 10am, the office can be a zoo with a long wait.
None of this is a big deal but lately I've been reading about ''changes''. I may still do my own renewal, depends on my mood when it gets close
to to time. My experience: La Paz can be an easy process and might depend on the agent you get. If a gringo doesn't speak Spanish, they
won't get sympathy here.
