Sunrise Up North

Pompano - 10-3-2011 at 03:59 AM

" The geese that proclaim the seasons to our farm are aware
of many things, including the Wisconsin statutes. The south-
bound November flocks pass over us high and haughty, with
scarcely a honk of recognition for their favorite sandbars
and sloughs. "As a crow flies" is crooked compared with their
undeviating aim at the nearest big lake twenty miles to the
south, where they loaf by day on broad waters and filch
corn by night from the freshly cut stubbles. November geese
are aware that every marsh and pond bristles from dawn
till dark with hopeful guns."

Nice, we woke up to rain for the first time in months! Fall is definately showing up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Sally!

Just a few shivers at early dawn, Sally, finest kind to a duck hunter ;)

.......and then it warms up to 75 by midday. A real Indian Summer right now...almost too hot!

Our hunting days are getting much shorter now... and like the geese/ducks I'm revving up for the migration south.

Getting a little restless....but, hey, that's normal for a Sagi.....I guess?

Baja is calling me home.

Looking forward to many sunrises Down South.
