Turn-by-Turn Driving Instructions - Blvd. 2000 to Otay?

I know that this topic has been covered before, but I am still confused by the previously posted directions.

No need for anything except an explanation of where you exit Blvd. 2000 and how to get to Otay.

Jan.....From the toll road north between Ensenada - Tijuana take the Puerto Nuevo North exit. The exit is on the right. Turn left at the bottom of the hill, pass under the toll road, and turn right. Proceed 5.6 miles north along the access road parallel to, and west of, the toll road, to Blvd. 2000.
At Blvd 2000 there is a stop sign. Turn right and go back under the toll road.
Follow Blvd. 2000 24 miles to an exit on the right that will be signed to San Diego.
Take the right toward San Diego for 5.5 miles to a McDonalds on the right.
Two blocks past the McDonalds turn right to the border at Otay.

I am one of the people that has posted the road log and photos. ALSO, it is NOT called BLVD. 2000 anymore... It is CORREDOR 2000, as noted in my last detailed, photo trip report of Sept. 2010.

The problem is that it is not signed "Blvd Industrial".......you need to follow the signs for Garita de Otay......that ramp then turns into Blvd Industrial

At the end of CORREDOR 2000 the road splits, left to Tecate and right to Otay. Be sure to slow down as the next 200 yards have some real bad pot-holes!

Also, just before the right turn to the border, you go over a bridge. This is easier to remember than checking your mileage.

At the north end of the Corredor 2000... you may see the Tecate toll highway toll booth straight ahead (north)... and you want to curve left (west) for Garita de Otay... It is 5 miles west on Industrial to the intersection where you turn right (north) for the one mile drive to the border.

Yes, RIGHT to Otay.... even though you want to go left... the exit to Otay makes a loop turning you Westbound after turning right... if that makes any sense.

An FYI for anyone coming north on the free road to catch Cor. 2000, as of Weds 10/5, they are doing road work on the free road just south of the military checkpoint, which is just a few hundred yards south of the T-intersection to turn onto Cor. 2000.

The road work has it down to one lane in each direction on the free road, so you're stuck in the military check-point line behind all the big rigs. It splits in the last few hundred feet before the checkpoint for trucks to the right, passenger cars to the left. But it still took us about 20 minutes to get past the military check-point from the time we entered the line.

You might be better off staying on the Toll road and exiting immediately after Toll Booth #2 at the south end of Rosarito, instead of getting off the Toll road in Puerto Nuevo. By staying on the Toll Road into Rosarito, you avoid that traffic and avoid the military check point. Exit then come south to the Cor. 2000; about 5 km from the Toll Road exit to the turn onto Cor. 2000.
