in a place sometimes as harsh and hot as can be, beautiful and delicate creatures live here. They, like many Nomads call Baja Sur home, at least part
of the year. The Spotted Sandpiper can be found searching small ponds for insects and other little things to eat.
I'm pleased to announce the release of my new book, "Birds We See" in Baja California Sur, Mexico. A portion of the sales of this book is dedicated
to Ovarian Cancer Research at M.D. Anderson, University of Texas. They saved the life of my wife. Go to BirdsWeSee.com and watch the video book
trailer.

Sweet little intelligent face, just taking care of the business of living.
Bird feet: I'm always a tiny bit nonplussed by birds' feet. They seem so incongruous, so out of place those scaly, scrawny legs and long toes with
serious nails going out in all directions.
Such a contrast to the feathers of a bird which provide some of nature's most exquisite beauty.
