That's better than 13 pesos to the dollar!
9.17 x 3.785 = 34.70 (pesos per gallon)J.P. - 10-7-2011 at 09:33 AM

Well, it is a buck a gallon cheaper in Baja than in California... so better driving value. Top off in El Rosario (225 miles from the border)... then
you can make it to L.A. Bay where there are two stations... about 176 miles from El Rosario.absinvestor - 10-9-2011 at 10:14 AM
We're heading back to the States for the holidays. Yesterday magna was 9.15 at the Pemex on Mex1 in Mulege and 9.25 at El Rosario. Our last exchange
rate at the Mulege Atm was 13.77 pesos/us $. After atm and bank fees the net was 13.54. Approx price/gallon 2.60. We'll fill up at Tecate since we'll
be traveling thru California, Oregon and Washington.David K - 10-9-2011 at 10:19 AM

Maybe fill up in Guadalupe Valley? Tecate is in the border price zone which matches Calif. USA prices... The cheapest gas I have seen around San Diego
is about $3.69/ gallon.absinvestor - 10-9-2011 at 03:33 PM
Thanks David K for the heads up.J.P. - 10-9-2011 at 06:07 PM

Get real there is no place in BAJA gas is any where near 3.69 a gallon.SoCal-Bob - 10-17-2011 at 04:36 PM
I bought fuel at the Pemex on Industrial Blvd a few miles east of the turn for the Otay Mesa crossing.
Correct my calculation if it is incorrect.tripledigitken - 10-17-2011 at 06:59 PM

I haven't found this to be the case. Last year we did a day trip to Ensenada, filled up there, then again in Tecate just south of Highway 2 and it
was the same price for diesel (about $1 less than NOB at the time). Just what constitutes the "border price zone"? Is Rosarito in it? We usually
don't stop for fuel in Rosarito. Maybe some Rosarito folks could offer some of their experience?
