Made it back to Rosarito this morning at 1:00 am. Left the Almeja (El Padron) in Mulege around 11:00 am yesterday.
Thought I had another trip without seeing any accidents until just south of Santo Tomas where I rounded a corner to see dust, one car upside down on
top of another, interior lights on and what a mess.
I thought I was the first there and a trucker pulled up and shined his lights on the accident for me. I searched both cars, turned off the ignition
in the smashed up Blazer and searched the entire area.
No people or bodies anywhere. Excellent !!
While I am searching, the Federal Caminos pull up so I get back in my truck and head north. You see the strangest things along this highway!
Only bad road spots are north of El Centenario where they are replacing the pavement. Can be very slow going but they should have it done in a week
or so.
Bad potholes south of Vizcaino so do pay attention in that area.
This year is terrible for mosquitos due to the rains. It is going to get worse so be prepared and bring repellants to share. I mentioned last year
that the mountain folks refused repellants because the beach guys were having a worse problem.
This year they asked me for some when I was in San Luis Gonzaga a few days ago. Unfortunately for them and me, I had already distributed it to the
beach areas and communities down souther.
Bad mosquitos up there but nothing like the coastal communities. Between there and Mulege, I got covered with bites.
Happiness is having to put something on to keep warm for the first time in two weeks. This finally happened at the revision south of El Rosario
last night. This revision has moved a few miles further south than where it used to be by the bridge.
There are now 2 possible checkpoints in the Punta Prieta area so watch your P's and Q's for those that are concerned.
It was HOT, HUMID, BUGGY, Lot's of rain, constant sweating, etc.
I loved every minute of it!!!! More to follow.

Glad you are back safe and sound!
In the thread on 'Bringing Bug dope' started by El Jefe, I mentioned that I donated 5 cans of Cutter mosquito repellant and it is at the Baja Cactus
Motel in El Rosario should anyone wish to add to the amount or take it on south, from there... Please recommend where someone should take the spray
where it will do the most good.
